Purpose
The purpose of this policy is to create a framework for setting and managing Kulindağ Mountain House sustainability goals

Scope
This policy covers all activities of Kulindağ Mountain House.

Responsibilities

  • The operator assumes overall responsibility for the sustainability goal setting process.
  • All employees are responsible for contributing to the sustainability goal setting process.
  • Process

  • Sustainability goals will be monitored using the following steps:
    • Define the hotel’s mission and vision.
    • Define the hotel’s strategic goals.
    • Define the hotel’s operational goals.
    • Define sustainability goals to be SMART (specific, measurable, achievable, relevant and time-bound).
    • Share sustainability goals with all employees.
    • Review sustainability goals annually and update as necessary.
  • Sustainability performance will be monitored and reported annually.
  • Sustainability performance improvement opportunities will be evaluated in the annual report.
  • Records

  • All sustainability targets will be recorded by the Operations Manager.
  • Performance in achieving sustainability targets will be monitored by the Operations Manager and reported when necessary.
  • Internal Control

  • The sustainability target determination process is a part of the Kulindağ Dağ Evi internal control system.
  • The sustainability target determination process will help improve the risk management and performance of the business.
  • Definitions

  • Mission: The purpose of a business.
  • Vision: The future state of a business.
  • Strategic goals: Long-term goals of a business.
  • Operational goals: Short-term goals of a business.
  • SMART goals: Specific, measurable, achievable, relevant and time-bound goals.

    These goals will increase Kulindağ Dağ Evi's sustainability efforts and ensure that the hotel benefits the environment, society and employees.
